Illustration Fridays - Surrender

Surrender the Day

Blocks have been stacked,
Cars have been zoomed,
Balls have been kicked,
Games have been played,
Teeth have been brushed,
Books have been read.
The time has come to Surrender the day.

Illustration Fridays - Dusty

Emma's favorite times on the farm were spent running with the piglets down the dusty dirt road.

Here's my entry for Illustration Friday's word - dusty!  I added a little colored pencil here and there with the watercolors this time...

Illustration Fridays - Chicken

"Come down here this instant!  How many times have I told you not to play on the farmer's new puppy?"

Here's my illustration for this week's IF word chicken.  For some reason the scan of it kept coming out very grainy...not sure why.

Illustration Fridays - Deja Vu

Please scroll down to see all :)!

Did I help you to have your own Deja-vu moment?  For this week's Illustration Friday prompt Deja-vu, I thought I'd try the same picture over and over with slightly different techniques!  I was trying to see what I liked better...charcoal pencil shading and outline, pencil outline or sepia ink pen outline...hmmm.
 Any thoughts?

Illustration Fridays - Resolutions

Here's my contribution for this week's Illustration Friday prompt - resolutions.  One of my resolutions for our family is to have regular Family Fun nights!  I am with my children a lot, but so much of the time is bringing them to various practices, keeping them clean, clothed and fed, keeping them from arguing too much, making sure projects and homework gets done....but where's the fun?  So, in the hope of gaining more quality time with our children that doesn't require a major outing or spending lots of money AND before I look back and say, "Where did the time go?"...I am going to try to savor the moments more for us and for them!
