Here's my contribution to this week's Illustration Friday for the word winter!  This was one of my favorite activities as a kid...going to a nearby pond and ice skating!

This is a painting I did a little while ago, but it fit so perfectly for this week's Illustration Friday word Mail!  I also thought with one week until Christmas and presents to buy (still!), presents to wrap, meals to prepare for, cookies to bake, my children's Christmas shows to attend...I may not have the time to paint this week!

Illustration Fridays - Phenomenon

When looking up ideas for this week's topic phenomenon for Illustration Friday, I could not resist the idea of drawing frogs falling from the sky!  I could just see me standing outside with one of my sons saying..."Just one more, Mom, please?"

Throughout history, there have been tales of raining frogs. These stories, as crazy as they may seem, are actually real events! Hello!  I am new to this whole blog thing, but I thought it would be a way to share my thoughts, my ideas and my journeys with you all!  So, welcome!!!  To get to know me here are a few of my favorite things in life:  my children (4 of them), my husband, tea with milk and sugar, cheesecake, early morning thunderstorms, drawing, painting, making snow angels, warm chocolate chip cookies, pink tulips, snuggling...
