Here's my contribution to this week's Illustration Friday for the word winter!  This was one of my favorite activities as a kid...going to a nearby pond and ice skating!

Illustration Fridays - Mail

This is a painting I did a little while ago, but it fit so perfectly for this week's Illustration Friday word Mail!  I also thought with one week until Christmas and presents to buy (still!), presents to wrap, meals to prepare for, cookies to bake, my children's Christmas shows to attend...I may not have the time to paint this week!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Illustration Fridays - Phenomenon

When looking up ideas for this week's topic phenomenon for Illustration Friday, I could not resist the idea of drawing frogs falling from the sky!  I could just see me standing outside with one of my sons saying..."Just one more, Mom, please?"

Here's more on Raining Frogs :

Throughout history, there have been tales of raining frogs. These stories, as crazy as they may seem, are actually real events! From Biblical tales of Egyptian storms to British towns suddenly finding themselves covered with frogs falling from the sky, such events are caused when a wind storm passes over a pond or lake teaming with frogs, picking them up and dumping them elsewhere!  To read more go to!

Dexter Owl

Here's a part of a sign I made for a friend's baby in acrylics.  I just thought he was very cute.  He even looks like the name...Dexter!
