Wow!  It has been a while since I was able to participate in Illustration Friday!  We've been busy here  with vacations, camps, family and lots and lots of cousins! I can't believe it's August already!  This summer is flying by!  Thanks for stopping by! 

IF - Suspend/Vocal

She was such an enthusiastic cheerer that she'd spend the entire game with the "Go Team Go" sign suspended over her head!....Okay, okay, I know it's a stretch, but I have not had much time to paint these days with the kids home for the summer.  Busy, busy days, but lots of fun!  SO...this piece is actually from a sketch I had posted for IF's word Vocal back in April and I finally got to paint it!  Hope you like it!

This is still in it's sketch phase, still needs a bit of work, but this is about all I have time for this week!  Hopefully I'll get around to finishing this by next week...I'll post when it's complete!

Illustration Friday - Scattered

I must admit, I am a bit scattered lately...we are getting to the end point of an addition on our house...cabinets and carpets are coming next week and there has been lots and lots of painting to do...unfortunately it's wall and ceiling and baseboard painting, not watercolors!!  I have also been revising a book I have written and working on revising some of the sketches.  My etsy shop has had several custom orders lately and mix that with the kids and soccer every night and the rest of the regular everyday stuff?...You guessed it...my brain is scattered a bit these days! So here's a little something I've been working on...she's supposed to be swinging with her brother next to her, but I haven't gotten that far!

Illustration Fridays - Mail

This is a painting I did a little while ago, but it fit so perfectly for this week's Illustration Friday word Mail!  I also thought with one week until Christmas and presents to buy (still!), presents to wrap, meals to prepare for, cookies to bake, my children's Christmas shows to attend...I may not have the time to paint this week!
